1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using Jeevan Raksha, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the Unified Emergency Response Consent Agreement. This platform connects citizens, AED device owners, and volunteers to assist during cardiac emergencies, but is not a substitute for professional emergency medical services (EMS).

2. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Precedence

Jeevan Raksha is a supplementary, community-driven bridging network. In the event of a medical emergency:

  • Always dial 112 (National Emergency Number) or 102 / 108 (Ambulance) first.
  • Do not rely solely on community responder arrival for patient care.
  • AED device availability and responder responsiveness are dependent on real-time community proximity.

3. User Responsibilities & Conduct

All users of Jeevan Raksha agree to:

  • Provide truthful, verifiable data when registering AED units, locations, and access hours.
  • Keep AED readiness status (battery levels, electrode pad expiry, cabinet accessibility) up to date.
  • Volunteer responders must maintain CPR/AED competencies and act within their individual training scope.
  • Refrain strictly from transmitting false emergency alerts or misusing life-saving equipment.

4. Good Samaritan Protection Under Indian Law

In accordance with Section 134A of the Motor Vehicles Act and landmark guidelines established by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, individuals providing emergency medical aid or bystander CPR in good faith are granted statutory immunity from civil or criminal liability.

5. Limitation of Liability

Jeevan Raksha, its software maintainers, administrators, and knowledge partners Manav Rachna Educational Institutions and Doctors For You provide this platform on a best-effort public service basis. We are not liable for adverse clinical outcomes, network transit delays, or equipment mechanical failures during emergency interventions.
