β οΈ Important Notice to All Users

π― The 4 Strategic Objectives of Jeevan Raksha
Good Samaritan Safeguards & Voluntary Engagement
All emergency actions facilitated via the Jeevan Raksha platformβincluding bystander CPR, retrieval and deployment of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), and on-scene first aidβare purely voluntary and rendered in good faith.
In accordance with Section 134A of the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, the Good Samaritan Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), and landmark directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India (SaveLIFE Foundation v. Union of India), any person who provides emergency medical or non-medical assistance to a person in life-threatening distress shall not be subject to any civil or criminal liability, harassment, or mandatory interrogation.
Registration with Jeevan Raksha does not create an employer-employee relationship, agency, contractor status, or emergency service guarantee between the user, Jeevan Raksha administrators, or knowledge partners Manav Rachna Educational Institutions and Doctors For You.
Emergency Geolocation Data Authorization
To ensure rapid dispatch within the critical 3-to-5-minute therapeutic window of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), you expressly consent to:
- The access and processing of your approximate and precise location (via GPS, cellular network, Wi-Fi, or user-submitted addresses) when opening the app, viewing the AED map, or reporting an active cardiac emergency.
- For registered Responders: Periodic background location updates within chosen operational radii solely to route notifications of verified cardiac emergencies nearby.
- Public mapping of verified AED devices, building locations, floor/wing directions, and emergency access hours as submitted by AED registrants.
High-Priority Emergency Notification Consent
You authorize Jeevan Raksha to dispatch high-priority alerts via Push Notifications, SMS, Automated Voice Calls, or Instant Messaging (WhatsApp) regarding:
- Proximate cardiac emergency incidents requiring bystander CPR or AED retrieval.
- Status updates regarding active emergency alerts you initiated or accepted.
- Critical maintenance notifications for AEDs you manage (e.g., electrode pad expiry, battery depletion, inspection due).
Note: Responders maintain full discretion to accept or decline any individual alert, or toggle availability status at any time via their profile settings.
Data Privacy & DPDP Act (2023) Compliance
Your personal information (name, phone number, email, certification documents, and location) is collected and processed under the provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act):
- Data is utilized strictly for emergency response dispatch, AED registry integrity, and anonymized cardiac survival research.
- Personal data will never be monetized, traded, or shared with commercial marketing entities.
- Certification credentials uploaded for responder verification will be scrutinized exclusively by authorized administrators and retained securely in encrypted storage.
Information Accuracy & Anti-Tampering Pledge
Because human lives depend on accurate device positioning and rapid dispatch, you solemnly pledge:
- All information supplied regarding registered AED hardware (brand, serial, battery status, location coordinates, accessibility) is authentic, current, and verified.
- You will not file frivolous, prank, or fraudulent emergency alerts. Initiating false emergency calls diverts vital resources and is subject to immediate account termination and legal reporting to civil authorities.
- Responders will act strictly within the limits of their personal physical capability and recognized BLS/CPR/AED training.
Precedence of Official Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
Jeevan Raksha is a supplementary community bridging network designed to optimize bystander intervention before professional emergency personnel arrive.

However, they shall not be held liable for delayed notifications, device mechanical malfunctions, cellular network failures, or clinical health outcomes resulting from cardiac emergency scenarios.
